“Providing knowledge, Raising awareness, Preserving health.”
The sole mission of BeWell is to develop social and emotional competence within youth ranging from ages 8 years to 24 years, and their families, empowering individuals, through social and emotional learning (SEL), to preserve the quality of their lives.
BeWell believes in equipping individuals with the tools that are integral to healthy thinking, feeling and doing. With that, we seek to provide spaces where individuals are able to sharpen their skills through simulated exercises and discussions that prepare them for real-life experiences. In our sessions, we follow the 80/20 principle; 80 percent is led by the individuals and 20 percent is led by the facilitator. We encourage ownership to be taken as we simply facilitate the process of growth. Though activities are 20 percent of the session, research shows that 80 percent of learning comes from the activities; which is why our activities are both culturally relevant and applicable to real-life experiences specific to the worldview perspective of the individual.
SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL LEARNING IS THE PROCESS OF ACQUIRING AND APPLYING THE SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE INTEGRAL TO SUCCESS IN SCHOOL, WORK AND LIFE.
BeWell is a social and emotional learning providing network , developing social and emotional competence within youth ages 8 years-24 years and their families. We achieve our mission through psychoeducation, life skill small groups, restorative practices, parent engagement, psychotherapy and professional learning.
